Pedestal (Upright) Sump Pumps
Pedestal sump pumps mount the motor on a vertical column above the sump pit, with only the pump end submerged. The dry motor runs cooler and lasts longer, and service access requires no pump removal. The trade-off: pedestal pumps are noisier and visually obtrusive. SMPC supplies pedestal sump pumps for residential basements and shallow narrow sumps where submersible models won't fit.
